The Massillon Public Library hosts Meditation on the first and third Tuesday of each month led by guest presenter Gwen Miller. As a prelude to each session, a beginners’ introduction will be provided at 6:30 p.m. At 6:45, the group will meditate together and then move into that night's topic. On Tuesday, April 4, participants are invited to discuss the topic: Meditation for Everyday Living. On Tuesday, April 18, the discussion will focus on Attaining Lasting Happiness.
In addition to its calming physical effects, meditation has been found to also increase energy and focus, combat illness, relieve aches and pains, heighten problem-solving abilities, and boost motivation and productivity. Best of all, anyone can reap these benefits by practicing meditation regularly.
The public is invited to attend these free classes in the library’s 2nd Floor Meeting Room. A different aspect of meditation will be discussed during each class.
